stopped in on a friends recommendation while visiting California. Had the Plato de Ropa Vieja and guava streussle... incredible flavors and you can tell they are made with a lot of love. Would definitely recommend and come back!

I stopped by Porto's for a late breakfast after hearing about it for years, and the first thing I noticed was how much was going on. People were carrying boxes of pastries, others were waiting for sandwiches, and somehow everything still felt organized. After walking around the display case a couple of times, I settled on the potato balls, a cheese roll, a Cuban sandwich, and a slice of tres leches cake. It felt like a pretty good mix of savory and sweet without going completely overboard. The potato balls were my favorite because the outside had a nice crisp bite while the filling stayed soft and well seasoned. The cheese roll disappeared much faster than I expected since it was warm, flaky, and just rich enough without feeling heavy. The Cuban sandwich had plenty of flavor with every bite, especially once it was pressed and served hot. I saved the tres leches cake for the end, and it was light, creamy, and not nearly as sweet as I thought it would be. I can see why people stop here whether they're grabbing breakfast, lunch, or boxes of pastries to take home. Everything tasted fresh, portions were satisfying, and there were so many things on the menu that I'd probably order some

Lovely bakery and watery. We had the rustic chicken salad, turkey bacon sandwich and pan con lechon, and potato ball (a must try) all were delish. There are two sides to order from and they give you a buzzer so you can sit and wait for your food which they bring to you. There is a self service station for cutlery and condiments and beverages. On our way out we grabbed pastries to go which were the coconut strudel and churro croissant, so great to have for breakfast the next day! Definitely give this a try when you are in Burbank!

I absolutely loved the bakery selection here! Everything looked fresh and beautifully made. The pastries were soft, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The croissants were buttery and crispy, and the desserts tasted homemade and high quality. You can really tell they put care and attention into every detail. The aroma of fresh baked goods makes the place even more inviting. Definitely one of the best spots for pastries and desserts — highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at Porto’s Bakery & Cafe! The food was absolutely wonderful — everything I tried tasted incredible. What really says it all is that I stayed quite far away but still came back just to eat here again. I was in California for 3 days and visited this place every single day — that’s how much I loved it! Yes, it gets very crowded, but that just shows how popular and loved this place is. Totally worth it. I truly enjoyed it and highly recommend it — don’t miss this spot!
